Art Bucaro was one of the Antelope Valley's most accomplished actors, directors and artists and an inspiration to everyone who knew him and worked with him in community theater. He received several local Shining Stars awards, including Best Actor in a Drama or comedy for C.S.T.'s Of Mice and Men, Lead Actor in a musical or opera for C.S.T.'s Oliver! and Director of a Comedy or Drama for PRT's All My Sons.

He was a graduate of the Pasadena Playhouse acting school and appeared on television and movies, including the film, Mary Poppins, as a chimney sweep.

In honor and memory of our beloved friend Art Bucaro, PRT created a scholarship to be awarded to people of all ages who wish to apply the scholarship to education in theater and performing arts. This is not limited to students going to college but, also, open to high school students and adults.
